Validate list of cluster configurations

validate_cluster_configurations [‑quiet] [‑verbose]

Name Description
[-quiet] Ignore command errors
[-verbose] Suspend message limits during command execution
<cluster_configurations> List of cluster configurations

Validates the list of cluster configurations provided as an input. Use the get_cluster_configurations command to get a list of cluster configurations.

validate_cluster_configurations validates the submit and kill command of the cluster configuration objects to ensure if a job can be submitted using a particular cluster configuration or not.

Currently, Vivado™ supports following clusters management tools.

  • Load Sharing Facility (LSF)

  • Sun Grid Engine (SGE)

  • Simple Linux Utility For Resource Management (SLURM)

<cluster_configurations> - (Required) List of cluster configurations object to be removed. The get_cluster_configurations command can be used to get the list of cluster configurations and provide it as input to the remove_cluster_configurations command.

-quiet - (Optional) Execute the command quietly, returning no messages from the command. The command also returns TCL_OK regardless of any errors encountered during execution.
Note: Any errors encountered on the command-line, while launching the command, will be returned. Only errors occurring inside the command will be trapped.
-verbose - (Optional) Temporarily override any message limits and return all messages from this command.
Note: Message limits can be defined with the set_msg_config command.

The following example validates all the user defined cluster configurations.

validate_cluster_configurations [get_cluster_configurations -filter {IS_DEFAULT == 0}]

The following example validates a cluster configuration named lsf_medium.
