Create a new I/O port interface
Syntax
create_interface [‑parent <arg>] [‑quiet] [‑verbose] <name>

Description
Creates a new interface for grouping scalar or differential I/O ports.
Arguments
-parent <arg>
- (Optional) Assign the new interface to the specified parent interface.
Note: If the specified parent interface does not exist, an error will be returned.
-quiet
- (Optional) Execute the command quietly, returning no messages from the command. The command also returns TCL_OK regardless of any errors encountered during execution.
Note: Any errors encountered on the command-line, while launching the command, will be returned. Only errors occurring inside the command will be trapped.
-verbose
- (Optional) Temporarily override any message limits and return all messages from this command.
Note: Message limits can be defined with the
set_msg_config
command.
<name>
- (Required) The name of the I/O port interface to create.
Examples
Create a new USB interface:
create_interface USB0
Create an Ethernet interface within the specified parent interface:
create_interface -parent Top_Int ENET0
