Description

Set or return the current ILA debug core data object.

The ILA data object is created in the Vivado™ logic analyzer using the upload_hw_ila_data command, or the read_hw_ila_data command. By default, the current hw_ila_data object is the latest one created by the Vivado logic analyzer. The current_hw_ila_data command can be used to change that object.

The ILA debug core captures sample data in real-time as the hardware device runs, based on the event triggers or capture conditions defined on the hw_ila object. The hw_ila object triggers on the hw_device are armed by the run_hw_ila command.

The ILA data object can be displayed in the waveform window of the Vivado tools logic analyzer using the display_hw_ila_data command. You can also write the ILA data to disk with the write_hw_ila_data command to save the ILA debug information for later user and analysis.

This command returns the captured hardware ILA debug core data as an object, or returns an error if it fails.

Arguments

-quiet - (Optional) Execute the command quietly, returning no messages from the command. The command also returns TCL_OK regardless of any errors encountered during execution.
Note: Any errors encountered on the command-line, while launching the command, will be returned. Only errors occurring inside the command will be trapped.
-verbose - (Optional) Temporarily override any message limits and return all messages from this command.
Note: Message limits can be defined with the set_msg_config command.

<hw_ila_data> - (Optional) Specify the hw_ila_data object to set as the current data object for programming and debug. The hw_ila_data object must be specified as an object as returned by the get_hw_ila_datas command. If the hardware ILA data is not specified, the current_hw_ila_data object will be returned.

Example

The following example returns the current data object for the hardware ILA debug core:
