You can access the Examples view from the left side panel or from
, or by using Ctrl + Shift + R
shortcut keys. In this view, you can create example System projects to explore the tool,
and manage example repositories.

To use an example select it from the Examples view and a template will open letting you create a new System project from the example. Select the Create Application from Template command and the Create System Project wizard is displayed letting you create a new System project as described in Creating a System Project.
To add a new repository of examples do the following:
- Click the ellipses (…) option on the right of the view title as
shown in the figure above, and select Add Git
Repository or Add Local
Repository.
- If the repository is remote, you can use Add Git Repository. You can use Vitis IDE to download the repository.
- If the repository is local, you can use Add Local Repository.
- You can edit the repository information by hovering over the repository line and click Edit button. You can provide or modify the following information for any Git repository or local repository.
