The Source Code editor in the Vitis Unified IDE supports the following features:
- Syntax highlight for C, C++, Python, Makefile, CMakeList.txt, XRT INI and v++ CFG file
- Smart editor for XRT INI and v++ CFG files
- Hint for variable names, function names, etc
- Jump to the definition of variables or functions
- Peek the definition of variables or functions so that you need not leave the editing file
- Report the references of variables and function
- Hint for HLS component pragmas
You can open the outline window by selecting the button on the right, or selecting the Outline view from the View menu. The Outline window can list the function names in your source code.
The smart editor for xrt.ini files and
v++
config files can switch views between GUI rendering and Text
Editor view with the table button and code button . The GUI rendering will only display the options that it can recognize for the
context. For advanced use cases, user needs to edit the configuration file manually. The
modifications in one view will update the other view instantly.
The changes will be saved automatically when Auto
Save is enabled, or you can manually save changes in a file
with keyboard shortcut Ctrl + S
.
