The Renesas configurable mixed-signal ICs (CMICs) are a unique type of power sequencer that can be customized in software, prototyped with the GreenPAK designer tool and, once the design is complete, the sequencer ICs can be programmed at production. Using the Renesas proprietary software, designs can be tested and deployed to specific requirements.

The CMICs allow the integration of ADCs, watchdog timers, comparators, state machines, and MOSFETs into a simple discrete solution. The non-standard nature of these parts allows the customization of a solution that is exactly right for an application. The Renesas CMICs can be programmed to one-time programmable (OTP) in a GreenPAK development socket for prototyping and then moved to factory programming for production. The following figure shows a power sequencing example using the GreenPAK designer tool.
