XSCT is an interactive and scriptable command-line interface to the Vitis tool. The XSCT flow requires running a Tcl script.

Generating Using the AMD Software Command-line Tool Automated Flow

To create an FSBL for the Cortex-A53 #0 (64-bit) automatically (and modify the xfsbl_main.c/h files if a USB is present) using the provided script, use the following steps:

  1. Copy the src/lab10/xsct_create_fsbl.tcl script to the directory where the XSA file is located. You can modify the Tcl script if you change the default name of the XSA file in the Vivado tool. You can also change the script if the compiler options are different.
  2. Open a terminal on Linux or command prompt on Windows.
  3. Change the directory into the directory where the XSA file is located.
  4. Call xsct from the Vitis tool install area.
    % xsct xsct_create_fsbl.tcl
  5. The location of the generated ELF File prints out when the script completes.
