Card Bring-Up and Validation

After installing the card and its software, the card installation can be verified using the following commands, which are explained in more detail below.

• lspci

  The lspci Linux command is used to validate the card as seen by the OS, as was done when installing the card.

• ethtool

  The ethtool Linux command is used to confirm that a link is up and the correct network driver is in use.

• ping

  The ping Linux command is used to confirm that network traffic is passing.
