Scaling LiveVideo with the Video Processing Subsystem Application Note (XAPP1285) - Video Scaler v8.1 is being deprecated and its functionality is replaced by the Video Processing Subsystem (VPSS). However, the VPSS is not a pin-for-pin replacement for the Scaler v8.1. The primary goal for this design is to show customers how to migrate from Scaler v8.1 to VPSS. Secondary goals include: showing how to bring up video scaling pipeline from scratch (using VPSS), running the VPSS drivers on the ARM in Zynq, comparing image quality between VPSS and Scaler, highlighting new features of the VPSS that were not available in Scaler.
