VVAS has defined a simplified, easy to use interface so that developers can easily hook kernels into GStreamer based applications. The interface has been divided into two parts, core APIs and utility APIs. Core APIs are mandatory APIs, to be implemented by the acceleration software libraries so that these can be controlled from the GStreamer Infrastructure plug-ins as well as applications. Utility APIs are provided to abstract the XRT interface from the developer and provide easy to use interface to interact with the kernel.
