AMD Vivado™ Design Suite telemetry has been deliberately narrowed to collect only non‑personal, technical usage data, and to exclude both design content and user identifiers. Specifically, the telemetry collects:
- Target FPGA details (family, density, package, and speed grade)
- Design flow characteristics (language used, block vs. model‑based flow, and simulation tool type)
- Design outcomes and performance (compile times, LUT/register/DSP/memory utilization, power report metrics, and FMAX per clock domain)
- License tier in use (for example, BASIC, CORE, PRO, ENTERPRISE, and GOLD)
- Xilinx/AMD IP core usage (which IP blocks are instantiated)
It will not collect: RTL code, netlists (DCP), design files, user names, email addresses, hostnames, or IP addresses. The only identifier transmitted is an organization‑level company domain (for example, “example.com”) to broadly tie usage data to a customer company, not to individual users.
This telemetry contains aggregated usage analytics, not design content or user level data.
The AMD Vivado™ Design Suite uses telemetry in alignment with the end user license agreement (EULA).
Important: All subscription tiers of
AMD Vivado™
and the AMD Vivado™
Enterprise edition includes tools telemetry turned on by
default. Only customers with a GOLD license will have the option to turn tools
telemetry OFF.
Important: Only customers with a GOLD license can
disable telemetry using
telemetry_data -disable tcl command in the
tcl console. Note that this command needs to be run only once, and the settings will
be saved for that user.
