- Install design tools to a PC network server.
Make sure your users know the location of the design tools and have access to the installation directory, and they have Administrator privileges for the following steps.
- From the local client machine, browse to the following directory:
network_install_location\.xinstall\Vivado_<version>
and run the program
networkShortcutSetup.exe.Running this program sets up the Windows settings batch files and Program Group or Desktop shortcuts to run the AMD tools from the remote location.
- From the client machine, launch the Vivado Design Suite tools by clicking the Program Group or Desktop shortcuts, or by running the applications on the network drive.
