Synthesizing a partially reconfigurable design does not require any special commands, but does require bottom-up synthesis. There are currently no unsupported commands for synthesis, optimization, or implementation.
These synthesis tools are supported:
- XST (supported for 7 series only)
- Synplify
- Vivado Synthesis
Important: Bottom-up
synthesis refers to a synthesis flow in which each module has its own synthesis project.
This generally involves turning off automatic I/O buffer insertion for the lower level
modules.
This document only covers the Vivado synthesis flow.
