Because XDC constraints apply
sequentially and follow clear precedence rules, review the order of your constraints
carefully. For more information, refer to XDC Precedence.
Note: When physical
constraints conflict, the latest one takes precedence. For example, if an I/O port
has multiple LOCs, the most recent applies.
Follow these steps to validate your constraints step-by-step in the Vivado IDE:
- Run the appropriate report commands.
- Review the messages in the Tcl Console or the Messages window.
