  1. Review the constraints recommended in each step of the wizard.
  2. Identify any constraint you choose not to create.
  3. Remove specific constraints using one of the following methods:
    1. Uncheck the line in the list. In the following figure, clk1 and ddr_clk_in are unchecked and skipped.

    2. Remove all constraints by unchecking the upper-left check box in the table.
    3. Right-click the specific constraint and select Do Not Create Constraint, as shown in the following figure.

  4. Click undefined cells (such as Frequency or Period for clk2 and clk3) and enter the missing values to create necessary constraints.
  5. Select multiple rows and click Edit Selected Rows to edit several constraints simultaneously.

  6. Complete any required fields, including Frequency and Period, for multiple constraints.

  7. Use multi-constraint editing for input delay constraints and output delay constraints when applicable.
  8. Review all constraints.
  9. Complete every checked recommended constraint before clicking Next to proceed.
  10. Correct any missing entries because incomplete entries prevent the wizard from progressing.
  11. Click Back to revisit a previous page when necessary.
  12. Edit any constraint on a previous page and click Next to trigger a design re-analysis with updated recommendations.
  13. Confirm previously recommended constraints remain unchanged when edits do not affect them.
  14. Navigate to a previous page without edits to skip re-analysis and shorten runtime.
Important: You cannot use the Timing Constraints wizard to edit existing timing constraints. Instead, use the Timing Constraints window.
