Engineering change orders (ECOs) modify an implemented design to minimize impact on the original design. The Vivado Design Suite provides an ECO flow to change an existing design checkpoint, run reports, and generate the required bitstream files.
ECO flow offers faster turnaround time by leveraging incremental place-and-route features. Vivado IDE includes a predefined layout supporting this process. For more details, refer to the Vivado Design Suite User Guide: Implementation (UG904).
