In the I/O banks, VCCAUX_IO is also used to power input buffer circuits for some of the I/O standards. These include some of the single-ended I/O standards at or below 1.8V, and also some of the 2.5V standards (HD I/O banks only). Additionally, the VCCAUX rail provides power to the differential input buffer circuits used for most of the differential and VREF I/O standards. Each SelectIObank type has dedicated package pins for the bank type on the device: VCCAUX_HDIO, VCCAUX_HPIO, or VCCAUX_XP5IO. Within a device all VCCAUX_IO of the same bank type must be shared. For example, if a device has multiple VCCAUX_HPIO, they must share the same source. When VCCAUX operates at the same voltage as VCCAUX_IO, the supplies can be shared.
The power supply requirements, including power-on and power-off sequencing, are described in the Spartan UltraScale+ FPGA Data Sheet: DC and AC Switching Characteristics (DS930) .
