data.bytes is the kernel I/O byte stream. Without an AXI4-Stream axis, it is the raw per-element buffer (little-endian). When an AXI4-Stream axis is attached, it is the beat-packed layout used by kernel I/O, including enabled sideband fields. Refer to AXI4-Stream Sideband (axis) for more information.
