The varray.axis class describes which AXI4-Stream sideband fields are enabled on an array. You pass an instance of this class to the axis parameter when constructing a varray.

Python:

import varray as va

cfg = va.axis() # defaults (tlast, tkeep, tstrb)
cfg = va.axis(w_user=8, w_dest=4) # with optional user and dest channels
cfg = va.axis(enable_tkeep=False, enable_tstrb=False)  # only TLAST
cfg = va.axis(w_user=8, strict=True)                 # strict enablement

MATLAB:

cfg = varray.axis(); % defaults (tlast, tkeep, tstrb)
cfg = varray.axis(w_user=8, w_id=4, w_dest=4);              % with optional channels
cfg = varray.axis(enable_tkeep=false, enable_tstrb=false);     % only TLAST
cfg = varray.axis(w_user=8, strict=true);                    % strict enablement
