After sourcing settings64.csh (or settings64.sh), VFS works correctly at runtime, but editors and static analysis tools (VS Code, PyCharm, Cursor, and so on) might not provide autocomplete, hover documentation, or type checking for VFS modules.

This happens because static analysis tools do not execute Python code. They cannot see the PYTHONPATH set by the settings script or any runtime modifications to sys.path. They only discover packages that are registered in the Python environment's site-packages directory.
