Syntax

export_xdc(<xdc_file>, thermal_constraints='Junction', enable_rails=True, overwrite=False)

Parameters

Name Description
<xdc_file> Path to the .xdc file for export.
[thermal_constraints] Thermal constraints to apply. Accepts case insensitive 'Junc[tion]' or 'Amb[ient]' values to apply 'Force Junction Temperature' or 'Ambient & Theta JA' constraints, respectively.

Default: True

[overwrite] If True, overwrite the output file if it already exists.

Default: False

Examples

# Export XDC constraints with default thermal constraint and rail constraints enabled
proj = open_project('my_design.pdm')
proj.export_xdc('constraints.xdc')
# Export with specific thermal constraint
# proj.xdc_thermal_constaints == ['Junction', 'Ambient']
proj.export_xdc('constraints.xdc', thermal_constraints='Ambient')
# Export without power rail constraints
proj.export_xdc('constraints.xdc', thermal_constraints='Junction', enable_rails=False)
