This section describes how to update the firmware on an X4 series Ethernet adapter using PLDM.
Note: You can also update the firmware from the host OS. See Updating the Firmware from the Host OS.
To update the firmware using PLDM, do the following:
- Download the XN-203393-LS AMD Solarflare X4 Firmware PLDM package from the product website (see Product Website). This package contains a PLDM firmware image for AMD Solarflare X4 series Ethernet adapters.
- Refer to your server vendor's documentation for instructions on updating adapter
firmware through the server's Baseboard Management Controller (BMC).
Support for PLDM firmware updates depends on the server model and BMC software version. Contact your server vendor to confirm compatibility and obtain any required update procedures.
