Host
The host must be running a currently supported Linux platform.
Guest VM
The guest Virtual Machine (VM) must be running a currently supported Linux platform. Acceleration of guest VMs running other (non-Linux) operating systems is not currently supported.
However other schemes can be used, for example a KVM direct bridged configuration using the Windows virtio-net driver (see Using Virtio-Net).
