The Component Comparison tool can help you compare the performance and utilization of components. To use this feature, one of the following stages must complete successfully:
- C Synthesis
- C/RTL Co-simulation
- Implementation
To generate a report, go to the VITIS COMPONENTS panel in the Vitis Unified IDE. Hover over any of the HLS components and click the HLS Compare Reports icon. The icon is visible when you hover over it. Alternatively, go to View and then select HLS Compare Reports.
Check the boxes of the components you need from the list of available HLS components. Click Compare.
The tool generates an HLS Compare Report file in tabular format in the editor panel. Component information and metrics values are in tabular form for HLS components that have completed stages.
- To export the tabular data as a CSV formatted file, click the export icon in the upper right corner of the report. Enter the file name and click Save.
- To generate an HLS Compare Report in graphical format, select the Graph Compare icon in the upper right corner of the report.
- To switch back to the tabular report, select the Table Compare icon in the upper right corner of the report.
