This section summarizes the mechanical, environmental, and DC specifications for the XRF4 kit. See the XRF4 RF Accessory Kit Data Sheet (DS1012) for detailed electrical specifications. The XRF4-RFBB dimensions are as follows:

Length: 14.150 inches (35.941 cm), Width: 4.925 inches (12.510 cm)

Note: 3D models of these boards are available on the XRF4 RF Accessory Kit website.

The following figure shows detailed RF slice dimensions. The RF slice connector is centered vertically on the RF slice and center-offset from the edge of the board by 0.5”. The holes on both sides of the connector are sized to allow 3 mm screws. The holes on the right side of the board are for mounting to the sheet metal tray and are sized for 2.5 mm screws. There are two SMAs on the right side of the board to interface with typical RF circuitry.

Environmental

Note: The ambient operating temperature range is not fully tested across the specified ambient temperature range. It is for general guidelines only. The XRF4 platform should be used for evaluation purposes only in a normal lab environment and should not be operated beyond ambient room temperature.
  • Ambient Temperature

    Operating: 0°C to +45°C

    Storage: –25°C to +60°C

  • Humidity

    5% to 95% non-condensing

Operating Voltage

The XRF4-RFBB operates from a nominal DC voltage of +12 V ±5%. The DC power is sourced through the ZCU670 or ZCU208 board's RFMC 2.0 connector. The secondary DC connector on the XRF4 board should be used when the XRF4 power consumption is greater than 70 W. The XRF4 slices’ power is derived from the XRF4-RFBB.
