The XRF4 kit mates with the ZCU670 and ZCU208 RFSoC boards on one side and RF drivers and power amplifiers on the other side. The following figure shows a use case of the XRF4 with the ZCU670 board. The figure shows an eight TX/RX case with 2-channel digital pre-distortion (DPD) feedback.

The RF slices in this figure are designed for the appropriate band of the application. The TX slices connect to drivers and power amplifiers. Subsequently, circulators or duplexers can be used depending on if time division duplexing or frequency division duplexing is used. These circuitries are connected to real antennas and have receive (RX) paths as shown. There are also feedback paths to support DPD functionality.
