The X4 Enterprise datapath supports different firmware variants in the same way as an X2 Ethernet adapter. The supported filters vary between firmware variants:
- low_latency firmware does not support VLAN-qualified TCP/UDP filters.
- full_feature firmware supports VLAN-qualified filters.
The FC can always perform a VLAN match, so there is potential for a VLAN-qualified filter via the Express datapath to steal traffic from Enterprise datapath.
A solution to this is to use VLAN filters only when both datapaths support these. Applications must be reviewed and might need an update to the filter types which are used.
