The PDM tool allows exporting the project data to a file in text format. The data is exported in table format for the blocks that are used in the PDM tool. The PDM tool does not export the information for unused blocks in text report file.
The Export PDM Project Data button is located on the toolbar of the Summary page. Select this option to open the dialog box as shown in the following figure.
Click on the three dots to open another menu to select the output file name and location as shown below. The PDM tool writes the file in the .pwr file format that is also used for the Vivado Report Power text output.
This option lets you export all the information from the current PDM project as given below.
- Summary
- Includes summary of total, dynamic, static power, environment settings and DFX usage.
- Estimation
- Includes detailed power report and configuration of the all blocks
- Power Design
- Includes detailed information and current consumption across all the power rails, power rail consolidation, sequencing and decoupling cap requirements
- Power Management
- Includes information on PL power management such as clock gating, frequency scaling and logic gating.
