The Multi Media Integrated (MMI) block is a hardened block in the Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2 and Versal Prime Series Gen 2 devices. It has a dedicated GPU and 2 PCIe controller, USB2, USB3.2, 10G Ethernet, and Display Port. Each GPU has two slices: Slice0 and Slice1. MMI block can be customized using the MMI Wizard in the PDM tool.
IP Creation and Customization
The MMI IP can also be configured with MMI IP Wizard. This wizard allows configuring GPU, GT Quad1 and GT Quad2 by selecting these options from MMI content panel section as given in the following figure.

- Frequency
- Sets the operational clock rate for the GPU slices.
- Power Gate
- Defines the power gating strategy for the GPU.
- Load
- Specifies the expected workload or utilization level.
GT Quad 1 Customization
GT quad 1 customization allows you to select PCIe interfaces from peripheral selection and required PCIe controller speed as shown in the following image.
GT Quad 2 Customization
GT quad 2 customization allows you to select Display port and USB interfaces and also configure respective controller configuration as illustrated in image the following image.
