Set up Vivado and the ADK:
- Install the Vitis software platform on the Vivado host. Follow the installation steps in Vitis Software Platform Installation in the Vitis Unified Software Platform Documentation (UG1416).
- Ensure the X3522 host and the Vivado host are both powered off and unplugged.
- Connect the X3522 card to the
Vivado host via the ADK. Use the flex
cable and the USB cable supplied with the ADK:
- Connect the micro-USB connector of the USB cable to the Host Connection micro-USB port on the right side of the ADK.
- Connect the flex cable to the ADK2 Debug Connector on the left side of the ADK.
- Connect the opposite end of the flex cable to the debug
connector on the X3522.Figure 1. Location of Debug Connector
- Connect the USB Type-A male connector of the USB cable to a suitable port on the Vivado host.
Note: More details are provided in the Alveo Card Debug Kit User Guide (UG1538). - Power on the X3522 host and the Vivado host.
- If you have not already done so, download one of the following
conversion packages from the X3522
conversion website (see NIC to PV Conversion Website) to the Vivado host:
- XN-201355-LS Alveo X3 PV Conversion [RPM package], recommended for Red Hat, SUSE, or CentOS.
- XN-201356-LS Alveo X3 PV Conversion [Debian package], recommended for Ubuntu or Debian.
- Install the conversion package that you downloaded.
