Quality of service (QoS) offers some configuration for prioritizing traffic. At a high level, the traffic classes and requested bandwidth are constraints to the NoC compiler to help solve for highly utilized NoC resources. For more information see this link in the Versal Adaptive SoC Programmable Network on Chip and Integrated Memory Controller LogiCORE IP Product Guide (PG313).
Note: Although traffic classes and bandwidth are useful for
controlling the behavior of the NoC, the combination of high priority classes (low
latency, isochronous for read, isochronous for write) with best effort has a negative
effect on that traffic class. That is, the cooperative models are penalized when higher
class traffic presents at various switching elements within the NoC.
