The ArmĀ® System Control and Management Interface (SCMI) is a set of standard protocols (clock, reset, power-domain, performance, sensor) for platform management between non-secure software and a platform firmware agent. For the SCMI specification, see the ARM SCMI documentation.

Note: This section is only applicable for Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2 devices.

The SCMI server is provided as a separate, out-of-tree source that is built together with TF-A and runs at EL3 alongside the existing EEMI handler. SCMI requests from the non-secure world are handled by the SCMI server and forwarded to the PLM over IPI, where they are serviced by XilPM_ng, in the same way EEMI requests are serviced.
