AI Engine graphs can be functionally simulated and verified with Vitis Functional Simulation (VFS). Compared to the x86 Functional Simulator, VFS provides the capability to compile multiple AI Engine graphs individually and simulate them together as a system. Additionally VFS also allows combining AI Engine simulation with HLS kernels.

Refer to Embedded Design Development Using Vitis (UG1701) for details on using VFS.

Note: VFS can run within MATLAB or in some user Python environments. It is not tied to the Vitis IDE.
