The following list outlines some limitations to profiling the NoC:
- This utility only supports profiling NMU nodes. Profiling support for NSU nodes is not available at this time.
- This utility uses JTAG to collect profiling data which results in relatively slower sampling intervals.
- This utility is not suitable for profiling the design for short time bursts.
The
vperfutility performs better if NoC traffic is active over longer periods of time (few seconds minimum). - AMD recommends that you limit profiling to four nodes to avoid missing profiling sample data.
