Selects the physical packaging format for the memory interface. Whether this field is selectable depends on the NoC2 Device Type and Controller Type:
- When Controller Type is LPDDR5 SDRAM: Fixed to Components (grayed out).
- When Controller Type is DDR5 SDRAM and NoC2 Device Type is Components: Fixed to Components (the only valid option for non-DIMM DDR5 configurations).
- When Controller Type is DDR5 SDRAM and
NoC2 Device Type is
DIMMs: Selectable among DDR5 DIMM
types. Defaults to UDIMMs.
- UDIMMs
- Unbuffered DIMMs (includes Clock Buffered UDIMMs / CUDIMMs).
- SODIMMs
- Small Outline DIMMs (includes Clock Buffered SODIMMs / CSODIMMs).
- RDIMMs
- Registered DIMMs with registered clock driver (RCD).
Note: All supported DIMM types include clock buffer devices
(CUDIMMs, CSODIMMs, and RDIMMs via the registered clock driver). You can set the I2C
bus address for these devices using the DIMM0 Slot-0 I2C HID field in the
DDR Memory Options tab.
