Differential Power Analysis (DPA) is a side-channel attack technique in which an adversary measures the electrical signals of a cryptographic device during encryption operations and attempts to use statistical correlation to extract the secret key.
The DDRMC5C/E AES-GCM-256 implementation includes optional hardware DPA countermeasures. When enabled, the countermeasures introduce controlled randomness masking into the power consumption during key-dependent AES operations, making statistical correlation attacks substantially more difficult.
