For RDIMM and CUDIMM/CSODIMM designs, the DDRMC5 IP configuration wizard requires each DIMM slot to be assigned to an HID value matching the physical HSA resistor on the board. The wizard option appears for the following designs:
- All RDIMM designs, at every data rate.
- UDIMM/SODIMM designs operating at 6.4 GT/s or above (CUDIMM/CSODIMM behavior). For all other UDIMM/SODIMM data rates, the HID configuration option is not shown because no I2C bus is required.
