Each of the SI and MI on the AXI Switch core can be individually configured to protocol types AXI4, AXI3, or AXI4-Lite. When a slave of type AXI3 or AXI4-Lite is connected to a MI of the AXI Switch, protocol conversion logic is automatically included along the internal pathway.
