AMD recommends using Fastest LPDDR5/DDR5 memory if possible. For Maximum bandwidth LPDDR5 is recommended. Specifically 2x16 bus widths. For random traffic, 2x16 will have better performance than 1x32.
The following table is an example of encoding streams of a certain resolution and pixel format in HEVC. AVC will have slightly higher numbers. 50% frame buffer compression ratio is assumed for the tiled reference frames. Also 1.1x read ratio for reference frame access via motion vectors is assumed. The numbers are in MBytes/second, with M implying a factor 1000000.
