The GT Wizard offers flexibility that enables you to dynamically adjust the
operating line rate. Based on the configuration provided in the GT Wizard, it sets all
attributes during the rate adjustment process. You can execute rate changes by toggling
the INTF*_TX_ch_txrate and INTF*_RX_ch_rxrate ports to any of the pre-configured rates available in
the GT Wizard. Wait for the assertion of the INTF*_rst_tx_done_out and INTF*_rst_rx_done_out signals to indicate that the current rate change
process has completed.
If the reference clock frequency remains unchanged, use the rate change ports
for the adjustment process. For GTYE5 and GTYP variants, if the reference clock
frequency changes on the same reference clock port or on a different one, you must
follow the rate change sequence outlined in the
Versal
Adaptive SoC GTY and GTYP Transceivers Architecture
Manual (AM002) by using GPI and GPO ports. For these variants, the clock domain
for INTF*_TX_ch_txrate and INTF*_RX_ch_rxrate signals
use the APB3clk.
For GTME5 variant, you can achieve the rate change sequence by using the rate
ports on the GT Wizard subsystem, even if the reference clock frequency changes. Unlike
the GTYE5 and GTYP variants, the GTME5 variant does not need GPI and GPO ports for rate
change sequence. For additional details, refer to the rate change sequence outlined in
the
Versal Adaptive SoC GTM Transceivers Architecture Manual
(AM017). For the GTME5 variant, the
INTF*_TX_ch_txrate and INTF*_RX_ch_rxrate signals
are asynchronous.
