To run the IP reference design on an AMD evaluation board, execute the following steps on a Windows host machine.
  1. Copy products.zcu670 to the host machine.
  2. Open the command window on the host machine.
  3. Change the current working directory to products.zcu670.
  4. Run XSDB using c:\Xilinx\Vivado\<202x.y>\bin\xsdb.
  5. Execute connect -url TCP:<>:3121.
  6. Run source xsdb_jtag_boot.tcl to load the bit file and PetaLinux images.

  7. Open the COM port (Serial port Baud Rate = 115200) and check the PetaLinux boot messages.
  8. Upon completion of the boot process, the system prompts you to change your password immediately during the login procedure. Use Username= petalinux and set a password.
  9. Execute ifconfig to get the IP address of the evaluation board.

  10. Copy the following files from host machine to current directory (/home/petalinux/) of evaluation board using any file transfer protocol.
Tip: You can use WinSCP tool and SCP protocol to transfer files from host machine to board with the credentials Username= petalinux and password set in step 8.
    • run_refd_functest.sh
    • run_refd_perftest.sh
    • refd_nlf_programming.sh
    • stimulus_programming.sh
    • sink_programming.sh
    • golden_refdata.txt
Note: The above-mentioned files are generated from the RFSoC DFE Non-Linear Filter IP Co-Simulation environment. For more information, refer to the Co-Simulation User Guide.
  11. Execute the following functional and performance checks.
    1. Run sudo sh run_refd_functest.sh.

This programs the NLF IP, stimulus module, and sink module. It also runs the functional test. After the functional test has run, the system prints a pass or fail message.

    2. Run sudo sh run_refd_perftest.sh.

This programs the NLF IP, stimulus module, and sink module. It also runs the performance test by running the stimulus data repeatedly. After the test completes, the system prints the tvalid low count. The count represents the number of clock cycles the NLF IP m_axis_dout_tvalid went LOW one time after becoming HIGH while running this test. It must be 0 for full throughput.
