Transmit Fixed Ethernet Startup Procedure When Using tx_core_reset - 3.1 English - PG369

When following the reset procedure, stat_tx_local_fault for a particular port does not assert while the PHY is in reset. AMD recommends using stat_tx_local_fault to ensure that the MAC is initialized and the port is clear. Use the following procedure:

1. Assert tx_core_reset, tx_channel_flush (all six ports), and tx_serdes_reset (all six ports).
2. Release serdes_reset for active ports.
3. Release tx_core_reset.
4. Wait for stat_tx_local_fault on active ports.
5. Release tx_channel_flush for active ports.
