When a receive packet is identified as either a global or priority pause control
packet, the received quanta value(s) is extracted accordingly. Those quanta values
are presented on the DCMAC Subsystem’s rx_pause_quanta{0..8}
buses, along with rx_pause_valid
that qualifies the data, and rx_pause_valid_id
that identifies the receiving port. Priority pause
information is relayed via quanta values 0 to 7, while global pause information is
relayed on the rx_pause_quanta8 bus. The pause control parsing logic is always active,
and any packet that meets the criteria specified above in ‘Identifying Pause Packets’
will have its quanta information relayed on the rx_pause_quanta
buses. This is true regardless of the setting of c{0..5}_ctl_rx_pause_enable
.
