The HDMI 2.1 RX Subsystem enables you to customize the example design for your system requirements. The following table shows a summary of the hardware required for each targeted board, supported processors, topologies, and the corresponding AMD Vitis™ software platform import example options.

  1. The Pass-Through design on VEK280 (REV-A) Board supports only up to an FRL Rate of 8 Gb/s.
  2. The Pass-Through with Advance Features example design supports VRR, QFT, QMS, ALLM, and Dynamic HDR. Supports only 8bpc for 8kp60 YUV 420, 8kp30, and 4kp120 RGB/YUV44 resolutions.
  3. The example designs supports only up to 8 Channel Audio.
  4. HDMI 2.1 pass through example does not support Audio N/CTS conversion in case of TX and RX are in different FRL rates
  5. The example design is not supported for HDMI 2.1 (TMDS ONLY) mode.
Important: AMD recommends using only HDMI 2.1 Category 3 (ULTRA HIGH SPEED HDMI) certified cables for Fixed Rate Link Video Receive/Transmit. The HDMI 2.1 FRL Mode is tested with the Belkin 48 Gb/s HDMI 2.1 Ultra High Speed HDMI (Category 3) cable.
