The AXI BARs tab options for the AXI Bridge mode (Functional Mode option) are shown in the following figure.
Figure 1. AXI BARs Tab
The options are defined as follows:
- No Address Translation
- When you select this option, you get a single 64-bit BAR without any translation. You are responsible for setting up address translation. When you do not select this option, DMA establishes address translation based on the entries you choose from the options below. DMA provides a fixed set of 8 windows for the BAR selected. Instructions for configuring each of the 8 windows are detailed in the Slave Bridge section.
- Aperture Base Address
- Sets the base address for the address range of BAR. You should edit this parameter to fit the design requirements. When adding the IP in a block design, this option is not available. Instead, set this option in the Address Editor tab. When you add the IP to a block design, this option is not available. In that case, you must set this option in the Address Editor tab.
- Aperture High Address
- Sets the upper address threshold for the address range of the BAR. You should edit this parameter to fit the design requirements. When you add the IP to a block design, this option is not available. In that case, you must set this option in the Address Editor tab.
Note: In addition, you must also program
the BDF table.
Note: In the IP integrator, you can program the Aperture Base Address
and Aperture High Address parameters using the Address Editor feature.
