You can automatically assign signal groups for each IP instance
individually or all at once. You can target an I/O bank or a group of I/O banks for each
memory controller. Perform the following steps to assign signal groups
automatically:
- On the IO Instances tab, select the IP instance which is to be auto assigned.
- Click Auto-Assign Controllers on the tool bar.
- Select the auto assign check-box on the header.
- Click Auto-Assign Controllers.

You can choose an I/O bank where the IP instance need to be placed using the menu selection button located to the extreme right of an I/O bank column as shown in the following figure.
