The NoC hardware infrastructure does not inherently support traffic classes; it has Virtual Channels. One of the main functions of the NoC Compiler is to take the traffic specification and map traffic classes and routing groups onto these virtual channels. Traffic classes such as Low Latency and Isochronous also switch on some additional functionality at the DDRMC to implement the class’s behavior.
