The following figure shows a Global Point to Point (PTPG) route (highlighted in green). The route relies on HNoC resources to reach one of the farther 8x8 switches of the system. There are four physical bi-directional channels in the HNoC. Thus, if more than four such connections exist, the performance can suffer due to limited availability of lateral bandwidth.
