The CIC Compiler core bit-accurate C model is a self-contained, linkable, shared library that models the functionality of this core with finite precision arithmetic. This model provides a bit-accurate representation of the various modes of the CIC Compiler core, and is suitable for inclusion in a larger framework for system-level simulation or core-specific verification.
The C model is an output product of the CIC Compiler IP; it is generated together with the core's other output products, and
the resulting ZIP files are delivered in the cmodel directory of
the generated core.
The C model is bit-accurate but not cycle-accurate, performing exactly the same arithmetic operations as the core. It does not model the latency or interface signals of the core.
The CIC Compiler C model supports the following features:
- Interpolation and decimation filters
- 1 to 6 integrator/comb stages
- Differential delay of 1 or 2
- Fixed and programmable sample rate
- 1 to 128 time-division multiplexed (TDM) channels
- Full-precision or truncated output
