The GT Wizard subsystem is the Versal GT Wizard IP. It supports both the IPI integrator flow and the Vivado IDE (RTL) flow.

IP integrator designs using the GT Wizard subsystem do not support Block Automation, instead the CPRI IP and the GT Wizard subsystem IP must be connected up manually. The CPRI IP GT interface settings are propagated to the GT Wizard subsystem when the validate design button is clicked.

In Vivado IDE (RTL) flow designs, the CPRI IP and the GT Wizard subsystem IP should first be generated from the IP catalog. After the CPRI IP is configured, the GT Wizard subsystem IP must then be configured, including the number of Interfaces, number of Quads, Channels used by each interface and other options related to optional ports. The CPRI IP GT interface settings can then be propagated to the GT Wizard subsystem IP using the Import Interface Settings button in the GT Wizard subsystem GUI, shown in the following figure.

The CPRI IP example design supports both the Legacy GT Wizard and the GT Wizard subsystem in the IP Integrator flow.

For more information on the GT Wizard subsystem see the Versal Adaptive SoC Transceiver Subsystem Product Guide (PG442).
